It was 6 years old when I first came into contact with calligraphy.

At that time, there would often be an old man who dipped a brush as big as a baseball bat in water and wrote beautiful calligraphy in the square next to the community. He would also bring a few more large brushes and buckets so that children and adults passing by could try writing.

Later I found out that this old man was a calligraphy teacher, and we called him Mr. Jiao. His calligraphy classroom was next to my home, so I started going to his calligraphy classroom to learn calligraphy.

In the process of practicing calligraphy, he would teach us to carefully observe each stroke of the calligraphy, held our hands and taught us how to use force for each stroke, and taught us to calm down and worked hard day after day to improve our abilities.

After Mr. Jiao passed away, his son Mr. Jiao continued to teach us.It can be said that I grew up in this calligraphy class, and this calligraphy class also influenced many children in my family.

To this day, I still practice calligraphy when I have time. Practicing calligraphy has become a habit of mine and it can also soothe my emotions.Practicing calligraphy also helps me, no matter which grade I am in, my homework and test papers are always among the best and neatest.

When I was a child, I always went to calligraphy classes by myself, and I didn’t have a mobile phone, so I left very few photos and information, only a few occasionally taken by the teacher, let me share them with you.
