My father needed to learn about commercial building planning for his job, so we visited several famous districts in Taipei and Taichung. Taiwan’s architectural styles are rich and varied. Some buildings are traditional, while others are very modern. There are even some that exhibit more of a Japanese style. The most noteworthy buildings we visited include the 101 Building and the Lucien Church, designed by the famous Chinese architect Pei Luming.
